Click one of the provided colours to select it

Drag to Bookmarks
Drag your chosen coloured icon to your bookmarks bar - done!

Click a colour below to change the separator colour.
Once you've chosen, drag the icon to the bookmarks bar and you're done!
Since this is designed to look like a native Chrome bookmark separator, there is no colour to pick. Just drag the icon on the left where you'd like it in your bookmarks.
P.s. it appears darker in the preview than it will in the toolbar.
